June 23-26 - Leslie Martin will be having her famous Cyber Camp. Look
for the flyers to come home near the end of the school year.
Help Wanted
- The Summer Supply Packet Chair pulls together orders from
our families, orders the goods through Wal-Mart and then assembles the
packets over the summer months.
Our former chairs are on hand to give you all the details of what
you’ll need to do.

- Hospitality Chair - This is a terrific position and spread
good will all over the darn place. You set the air for many of our
events. So if you think you can chair this (and you usually have a
good crew of assistants to help at the events – please let me know.
- Bulletin Board - We still need a volunteer to maintain the PTO
Bulletin Board. Email
BrentPTO@comcast.net to volunteer.
- Book Club. The Club is reading Nim’s Island and
Erica needs your help to lead a group during the weekly discussion.
The club meets one time per week on Fridays starting April 4th for
about 5 weeks at 8:00 in the morning. If you have a preschooler they
are welcome to come and be a part of our non readers group – while you
lead another section. Email Erica at

watch for fliers. This event has a nominal fee in order to cover the
book (which all children receive) and any items purchased during the
club. The fee is usually under 10 dollars.
- Nurse Parker is in serious need of "accident clothes". Please send
in the undergarments your children have outgrown.
- Basket Bingo committee to start working the classroom baskets and
door-prizes for our Basket Bingo
- Find Bobcat Boosters with Sonya Shell
- PTO Nomination committee - 3 folks to ensure the nomination
process is above board and well coordinated. We have a routine and all
the information required to make this work-but according to our
by-laws a three person committee is required to provide oversight.
- Field Day Hospitality table volunteer. Field Day is May 9th.
- Bobcats in the Water-Our folks love this. It is scheduled for 7
June this year based on the pool's availability.
- Alumni Night - 10 June 6pm. We get together our 5th graders and
some of our 6th grade alumni to exchange information, have pizza and
help reestablish some friendships.

 Adopt a Classroom
We are still working toward 100%
adoption. Please contact Dianna at

MBES along with
Winding Creek Elementary (another Stafford School) have done a
phenomenal job getting our teacher’s support through this program.
Let’s pat ourselves on the back and look forward to next year and an
even more successful adoption rate. Small donations by each family make
a huge difference in our children’s education experience. WAY TO GO!!!
Join the Margaret Brent PTO
Pick up your membership application in
the school office and
submit the completed form, along with your $7.50 membership fee (per
family, NOT per child), to a PTO board member. You may also
download the membership '07-'08
application is available in
Word/PDF,
complete it and bring it with your payment to orientation.
The membership fee helps establish an initial operating fund for this
year's PTO programs. Your contributions are gratefully accepted if
you choose to donate more than the $7.50 fee.

volunteers. If you do wish to assist the PTO by volunteering
your time, please fill a
